Scope:   Located on a triangular site in the West End area of Washington, this 92-unit contenporary condominum with ground floor storefronts represents the architectural changes taking place in Washington, DC where modernist metal and glass is overtaking traditional masonry. The building envelope consists of 56,000 sq. ft. of curtainwall, 16,700 sq. ft. of three types of aluminum panels and 60,000 sq. ft. of zinc panels which act as a rain screen while creating a unique profile and a look of transparent architecture which distinguishes this residential building from others that typically have a uniform glass skin.
